When you create an account we collect your email address, an optional display name, and any profile information you choose to provide. Authentication is handled by our backend provider with industry-standard hashing.

If you subscribe to our newsletter we store your email address, optional first name, your topic interests, and the page you subscribed from. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

Vendor applicants submit business information, contact details, product categories, and supporting documents. We use this information solely to review and onboard vendors.

Expert applicants submit biographical information, specialties, sample work, and links. We use this information to evaluate applications and to publish approved expert profiles.

We collect aggregate analytics on page views and vendor profile activity. Vendor analytics events are recorded server-side with a one-way hash of IP address — we do not store raw IP addresses for analytics purposes.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.

Photos, recipes, tutorials, and other content you submit are stored in our protected media bucket. Approved content is published with your byline; unapproved content remains private to you and our editorial team.

Messages sent through our contact form are stored with your name, email, subject, message, a one-way hash of your IP address, and your browser's user agent. We use this information only to respond to you and to prevent abuse.

We retain account data while your account is active. Newsletter records are retained until you unsubscribe and request deletion. Application records are retained for editorial and audit purposes. Contact messages are retained until resolved and then periodically purged.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the address on our contact page. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

We send transactional emails (sign-in, password reset, order and application updates) and, with your consent, newsletter emails. You can opt out of newsletters at any time; transactional emails are required to operate your account.
